Peter Taylor

Peter Taylor is a professional artist working mainly in oils, favouring representational subjects in a loose painterly style.  He has a great love of vast skyscapes, the sea and coastal scenes; also, views of Pendle and the beautiful Ribble Valley, and woodlands.

Peter has won many awards for oil/landscape paintings in mixed juried exhibitions, has held a number of one-man shows across the North West and now runs his own gallery, The Old Bakehouse Gallery, with studio above.  "The gallery is open whenever I'm there painting - which is quite a lot!  But if you're travelling any distance, it's best to give me a ring first."

Peter has work in a number of other galleries too, including the Waterford Gallery, Hale;  Walker Galleries, Harrogate;  Stockport Art Gallery (a large show by invitation);  Gallery D'Art, Bowness and Ambleside;  PJK, Skipton;  Frames and Pictures, Whalley;  Fine Art and Frames, St Annes  and the Pinfold Gallery in Bowness.

Peter's work is featured in...

  • How Did You Paint That? Seascapes, Rivers and Lakes
  • How Did You Paint That? My Favourite Subject
  • (both books published worldwide by International Artist)
  • International Artist Magazine: Master Artists of the World Showcase
  • Lancashire Life Magazine, 6-page article in August 2003.

Peter has limited edition prints available of many his paintings and also undertakes commissions.
